2019 Marchand & Burch Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Planchots
$120.00

The name Les Planchots refers to the small footbridges which cross the river Rhoin and divide this vineyard in two. South facing fifty-year-old vines in deep, marly soil bring fruit power to complement the typical elegance and subtlety of Pinot from Savigny.

TASTING NOTE
Vintage
Charcuterie, ground allspice, raspberry, raw cocoa, exotic spice, and gamey aromatics build harmonically on the nose. The palate is soft and plush with notes of strawberry leading to a fresh red cherry core. Medium bodied with a velvety texture, balanced acidity and ripe powdery tannins, the amalgam of red fruit and spice sits pleasantly on the palate to form a long and delicious finish.
Food Match
Pair with venison tenderloin, red cabbage, young turnips and roast plum purée.
Recommended Cellaring
Drink now or over the next 10 years.
