Acquired from Henri Boillot in 2014, the Les Lavières vineyard is farmed biodynamically with vine age ranging from 20 to 65 years, on the mid-slope of Savigny with excellent drainage and limestone rich soil. This is an energetic, elegant, rounded, fresh and structured wine, with that balance of delicacy and concentration that speaks truly of the Côte de Beaune. You can decide whether to embrace its youthful charms or celebrate its inevitable glorious maturity.

TASTING NOTE

Aromas of cassis, dark cherry, vanilla, liquorice and cinnamon spice are accompanied by a hint of candied orange rind and earthy forest floor notes. The palate offers dense fruit flavours, earthy richness, and fine chalky tannins. An energetic wine that displays fleshy fruit, spice and savoury complexity, and remarkable length of flavour.
Food Match
Pair with venison tenderloin, red cabbage, young turnips and roast plum puree.
