Genavrieres sits high on the hillside of Morey-Saint-Denis, above the Clos de la Roche, with the bottom part of the vineyard making up part of the Grand Cru appellation. The plot is tiny and the wines are rare. The vines face east and capture morning sun with an overall cooler mesoclimate than their neighbours, resulting in fine acidity which complements the vibrant fruit characters.

Cherry cola and spiced fruit cake aromatics enliven the nose with a delicate oscillation between fruit and spice. The palate transitions into broad, mouth-filling cherry compote and chocolate enrobed strawberries. The finish is prolonged, leaving one with impressions of rich coconut and chocolate.
