Bourgogne Aligoté is Burgundy’s long-established regional appellation for the Aligoté grape. While often overshadowed by its more famous neighbour Chardonnay, Aligoté is appreciated for its clarity, brightness and capacity to reflect terroir. The Marchand & Burch Aligoté is drawn from two mature parcels planted more than fifty years ago. The 2023 blend reflects the variety’s classic Burgundian profile: crisp, pure and subtly structured, shaped by gentle pressing, partial barrel fermentation and ageing on lees.

Vintage
The wine is fresh and direct, with clean and present acidity, citrus and almond kernel aromatics, a surprisingly lush texture, saline and mineral undertones and a long finish, the Aligoté elevates food, delights as an aperitif and will continue to satisfy with a few additional years in bottle.
