The Allingham is a selection from the best blocks of Chardonnay that grow on the south facing slopes of our Allingham vineyard in the Karridale subregion of Margaret River. Our skilled winemaking team draw inspiration from traditional winemaking methods and give the wine ample maturation in French oak to craft a layered, flavoursome and complex wine from this cool southern site.
Presented here in 1.5L magnum format which is ideal for long term ageing and the celebration of important milestones.

TASTING NOTE
Vintage
Refined and delicately ethereal, the floral notes of honeysuckle, citrus blossom and boronia mesh with vanilla pod spice and cardamom. The palate is supple and pliable, full of stone fruits, citrus, pear drop essence, nutmeal, nougat and lemon curd. The acidity is limey in the sense of both chalk and citrus which gives the palate tautness, definition and a fine balance. Never a wine of extremes, the Allingham Chardonnay is always nuanced and full of subtleties and harmony.

Drink with roast chicken, sweetcorn, pearl barley and Tuscan cabbage.
