From its beginnings in 1986, Howard Park has made Riesling from the Great Southern wine region of Western Australia. Since then, our Riesling has grown to become one of the most collected Rieslings in Australia. To experience the complexity Riesling offers over time, we cellar a portion of this wine under ideal conditions, then release our museum wine after 5 years.
Riesling is demanding, sensitive yet tough enough to thrive in the vagaries of this cool climate. Wines made of Riesling grapes are exceptionally revealing and critical of the environment in which they grow and the human interactions engaged to create them.

TASTING NOTE
Vintage
The colour has deepened but still retains a greenish tinge. The aromatics are more subdued initially, gradually revealing lemon sherbet, pear skin, riverbank stones and fresh Brazil nuts. The wine has integrated its youthful acidity and gained appealing textural richness, while maintaining great focus, purity, mineral drive and length through the palate. There are still many years ahead for more secondary flavours to evolve and delight, while this Riesling embraces its unmistakable Great Southern identity.
Food Match
Pair with lemongrass barbecued pork and spicy rice vermicelli noodles.
Recommended Cellaring
Drink now or cellar for up to 15 years to enjoy the nuanced flavours yet to come.
